Premium In Person ADHD assessment services for adults
Veyra Healthcare provides comprehensive private online ADHD assessments for adult men and women from our clinic in Cheshire.
Unfortunately, across the UK too many people are struggling to access ADHD assessment services. We firmly believe that this shouldnât be the case and needs to change. We want to play a big part in that change, in order to help as many men and women as we can.
All of our Adult ADHD assessments are performed by one of our specialist Psychiatrists, who all have a deep knowledge and understanding of the symptoms and treatments of ADHD.
After your pre-assessment appointments and consultations, your assessment with our psychiatrist will usually take around 90 minutes, and we aim for you to have a full and comprehensive understanding of your condition should a diagnosis be achieved.
Any relevant or recommended treatment pathways will also be discussed and explained in detail with you. If there is a recommendation for medication, an overview of the different types of medication will be provided.
You will then of course be given time to think about your options, for yourself and your family, then if required one of our team will be in touch with you to offer any further information and answer any questions you may have post assessment.
We seek to provide a service that surpasses anything else that we believe is available today, providing individuals and families access to the best people, the best tools that allow us to evidence progression, together with treatment plans, and medication delivered to your door. This is coupled with the ongoing support provided by our highly qualified and experienced team of multidisciplinary clinicians, all of whom specialise in conducting private ADHD assessments.
The benefits of our
face to face assessment service
We understand that meeting our team in person can give you confidence in our service and help you feel comfortable undertaking your assessment. The team at Veyra Healthcare are a dedicated group of specialist psychiatrists and practitioners with a shared passion for helping individuals who suspect they may have a neurodevelopmental condition.
Our entire team is committed to providing robust assessments and evidence based interventions that meet the needs of each individual. Our process will support you through assessment, and treatment if appropriate. We put you at the heart of your health journey and will develop a person-centred support package which feels right for you and your individual circumstances.
Or, have your
assessment online.
Our online ADHD assessment service is quick, accessible and reliable. We understand that not everyone can, or may not want to, visit a clinic in person.
What does our in-person assessment service entail?
We understand that ADHD is different from individual to individual, symptoms can present differently in men and women. We also understand that symptoms can impact careers and learning, as well as bringing relationship challenges and sometimes a host of co-morbidities that can come with ADHD. We prioritise providing rapid access to assessment and if applicable, treatment.
We will gather information about you, your family history, your physical health, and understand your issues and any impact of your symptoms. We may also consider any previous child or adult ADHD diagnosis or treatment approaches that you may have undertaken. By understanding you and your unique circumstances, we can start the process of assessment and if diagnosed we can develop a tailored plan designed for you and your specific needs.
Process
Our simple
step-by-step process
Veyra Healthcare offer the most comprehensive ADHD assessment process available today. We employ the most up to date and fundamental testing tools required to give the most accurate diagnosis. The results of each test work together to form a clear picture of each individual case. Our unique assessment process ensures that our assessments are highly robust, and we provide a full suite of information for transfer of care.
Information gathering
Weâll send you two forms to complete; one for you to fill out about yourself and another for someone who knew you well as a child. These forms help us to gather a comprehensive understanding of your experiences from birth to now. The greater depth of information we gain here the more comprehensive the assessment process, however we know for some people this may not be possible, please donât worry just let us know and we will be able to guide you.

Extensive symptom testing
Included as part of our assessment process is a Computerised ADHD symptom test called a QbCheck. The QbCheck objectively measures symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, comparing your scores against individuals matched for age and gender who do not have ADHD. As well as helping us with your diagnosis, we may also use these scores to monitor improvement in symptoms if you choose to sign up to our medication care pathway.

DIVA 5
One of our specialist ADHD nurse practitioners or Psychologists will meet with you (in person or online) to complete the DIVA 5 interview. This validated assessment seeks to understand which of the diagnostic criteria for ADHD you fulfil, by asking questions about symptoms experienced in childhood and if relevant into adulthood. We will evaluate symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, as well as explore potential other ADHD symptoms further.
Many ADHD services complete the DIVA5 within the psychiatrist assessment - but we believe, that doing the DIVA5 prior to meeting our psychiatrist allows us to clinically evaluate ADHD and other potential co-morbidities in more detail, and look into how these impact your life â this provides you with a greater depth of understanding of what you experience and why.

Assessment and outcome with a Specialist Psychiatrist
You will meet with one of our dedicated psychiatrists either in person or online, who will clinically evaluate all the information gathered and complete a comprehensive assessment of your symptoms. They may ask further questions regarding your physical and mental health history, your experience of friendships, relationships, school and work if applicable. The psychiatrist will let you know if you meet the criteria for diagnosis of ADHD during this meeting.
They will ensure you fully understand ADHD and the impact this might be having on your life. They will explain your treatment options to you and answer any questions you may have.
If medication is discussed as a suitable treatment option , they will make recommendations based on your physical and mental health and advise our team to set you up on our medication care plan.
Following your assessment, you will be provided with a comprehensive assessment report. This report may be used to support PIP applications or disability student allowance if required.
If you receive a diagnosis, we will also provide letters (on request, but free of charge) for your academic provider or employer suggesting reasonable adjustments. If you are not diagnosed, your psychiatrist will explain why and may consider alternative mental health conditions or recommend further assessments as appropriate.

Comprehensive medication care pathway
If you decide to sign up for our medication care pathway, we will ensure that you receive ongoing reviews from our specialist ADHD nurse practitioners on a monthly basis.
Our specialist ADHD nurse practitioners will review your medication each month, take your physical observations (blood pressure/weight/height) and closely monitor you during the titration of your medication. We can provide a prescription for you on a monthly basis, or if you choose, we can arrange to have the medication delivered straight to your door.

Post-diagnosis support call
We understand that receiving a diagnosis of any kind can be difficult, especially for children and their families; for this reason, if you are diagnosed with ADHD and you feel that you need some additional support and guidance moving forward, you can book in to have an appointment with one of our specialist ADHD nurse practitioners.

Final medication care pathway review
Once optimised on the medication, youâll have a final review with one of our lead mental health nurse practitioners. We will then request a shared care agreement from your GP or continue providing private prescriptions if you choose. Your GP may also require an annual review to monitor your progress on the medication.
